Sebrena's Top 5 Tips For Productivity/Efficiency:

  1. Morning Routine: I start my morning by waking up early enough to tackle what needs to be done before heading out for the day. Rolling out of bed last minute and being met with chaos and anxiety doesn't make for a great start. Before I do anything else in the morning, I make my bed. Accomplishing that first task sets a productive tone and creates momentum for the rest of the day.
  2. Get organized: When everything has a designated home (personal or business documents, files, office supplies) you know where you to find it! It does take time initially to get organized but once you do, it is easy to maintain and you will save a ton of time searching for what you need.
  3. Protect Your Focus: It’s easy to lose momentum with constant email notifications, message alerts, and interruptions. When I need to focus deeply, I set my phone to Do Not Disturb (DND) and let the team know I’ll be unavailable for a while. This allows me to dive into my work with undivided attention so I can complete my tasks more efficiently.
  4. Batch Tasks: Batching tasks allows me to group similar activities together (responding to emails or messages, or tackling creative work) so I can stay in the same mindset and work more efficiently. This minimizes distractions, reduces mental fatigue from constant context-switching, and helps me get more done in less time.
  5. Eat: Take breaks (especially to eat)! Taking regular breaks to eat is crucial for maintaining energy, focus, and productivity throughout the day. A well-timed break to eat not only nourishes your body but also helps prevent burnout and keeps you sharp all day!

Bonus - Give Yourself Grace:
Your 100% will look different each day. I often have an all or nothing mindset (I'm working on it... haha). Productivity isn’t about being perfect. Your capacity each day will look different based on your sleep, stress, and life events!

Although I am a mom of 2 young boys, a wife, a University student, and I work part time at Lash Line, there are a few things I love to do that bring me joy!

What makes me happy: freshly washed sheets, a clean house, true crime podcasts, beach vacations, baking, road trips, building meaningful connections, spending time with people I love, learning, laughing.

Once you train your brain to be on the lookout for glimmers, these tiny moments will appear more and more.”
